Dept of Licensing Certified for Hormonal Transgender Treatment of Minors in the State of Utah
Kim has been working in helping capacities even before she became a social worker. These experiences ranged from working with adolescents in an acute psychiatric setting, to crisis lines and debriefing for train accidents, to spearheading email based support to more than 300 people for 15 years. Once she obtained her degrees, she spent 7 years working with vulnerable adults in abuse situations by connecting families to resources, supporting those in need in finding safety and relief from trauma, and working with people regarding the aging process. Kim has also worked with the University of Utah Mobile Crisis Outreach Team assessing people in crisis, connecting them to helping community partners, assisting in creating safety plans, and facilitating inpatient stays when required. Kim specializes in LGBTQ issues, particularly as they relate to religion and spirituality.
Kim is excited about helping people find their own paths to healing, growth, and the changes they desire. She loves watching people reach their goals and find peace and meaning in their lives, following their own life paths. She is passionate about seeing people discover self-acceptance and mindfully journeying toward their goals and dreams. Kim loves to assist others in learning to excel in life and in relationships. She also loves to spend time with her spouse, children and grandson, traveling, camping, reading, watching movies, jigsaw puzzles, and building LEGOs.

AMELIA WILCOX, LCSW
THERAPIST

I truly believe that every single person has the opportunity to wake up one morning and decide that today is the day to make a change. Therapy can be a space to reassess and reconnect with your true self. I see therapy as a collaborative journey. You are the expert on you, and my role is to walk with you helping you discover your strengths, build resilience, and identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I blend compassion with real-world understanding (and a little humor), supporting clients as they develop healthier coping skills and move toward greater empowerment.
I have spent more than 15 years in social work, with the last six years focusing on clinical practice. I work with clients facing challenges such as out-of-control sexual behaviors, substance use, anger, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and down-to-earth space where you can be honest, curious, and even a little messy as you explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and move toward meaningful change in your life.
